The 2014 CIMAM _ International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art annual conference will be about “Museums in Progress: Public interest, private resources?” @Mathaf, Doha (November 9-11). I strongly believe people have right to information and culture. So why overemphasizing the “public” importance of charity? And first of all: why addressing “philantropy” as “public” or “public interest”? Is it not something else? Not to mention Qatar’s ruling classes “public culture”.
